These brackets were designed specifically for building floating shelves out of standard lumber that is readily available and inexpensive. The 1 inch tall backplate is perfect for shelves 1 1/2 inch thick such as 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 2x10 and 2x12.
Holds 45 lbs per stud they are attached to.
The 5” rod length is perfect for floating shelf depths 6”-10” and the 7” rod length will work for 8”-12” shelf depths.
